One summer day on a pier, two strangers stumble into an encounter that just might save them both.
Theo is a recently single man with self-image problem, Gwen is a good-humoured loner who works the ticket booth for a local boat tour company. On a summer day on a pier in a small town, the two strangers meet. Beyond the Sea is a story about the emergence of hope through grief.

Trained at the University of Wales, the London College of Music and The Guildhall, Sarah is Globus Theatre’s co-founder and Artistic Director.
She has appeared in numerous Globusproductions over the past 22 seasons including ‘Educating Rita’, ‘The 39 Steps’, ‘Shirley Valentine’, ‘Sexy Laundry’, ‘No Tell Motel’, ‘Real Estate’, ‘Halfway There’, ‘Lunenburg’, ‘Hurry Hard’ and 'The Ladies Foursome'. In 2018 she appeared in the World Premiere production of ‘Sugar Road’ at Theatre Orangeville as Caroline, a role she reprised at Globus in 2019 and at Lighthouse Festival Theatre Port Dover in 2022. In the fall of 2023, she performed Shirley Valentine at Upper Canada Playhouse as part of their 40th anniversary season, a role she reprised at Globus this past August. She will be performing Shirley Valentine at Theatre Collingwood in 2026.

A graduate of Fenelon Falls Secondary School, James trained at the University of Windsor earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He has been a professional actor in theatre, film and television for over 30 years.
In 2003, he and Sarah Quick created GlobusTheatre which is now in its 22nd year of producing professional theatre. With Globus, James has performed in over 40 productions including ‘Storm Warning’, ‘I Ought to be in Pictures’, ‘No Tell Motel’, ‘Buying the Moose’ ‘Funny Farmers’, ‘Real Estate’, ‘Raising the Barn’, ‘Lunenburg’, and ‘Sugar Road’.
Pre-Show Dinner is available for all 8pm performances!
Doors open at 5:30pm with dinner being served around 6pm.
